Trade Show Goodies - Tantalizing Treats

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

By Patty Stripes Trade show goodies can be used by applying two distinct strategies. Massively giving out trade goodies works when you can buy them at really low prices, whereas targeting qualified leads comes when youre looking for more exclusive products. When you are settled on the trade show floor you can carefully analyze what will be your global strategy for giving out your branded merchandise. Dont limit yourself by just giving out cheap trade show goodies. But then again dont limit yourself to just getting a few leads with expensive items. Use both types of strategies so as to have the biggest exposure on the trade show floor. Giving away trade show goodies is easy when you focus on the masses. Low cost giveaways give you the advantage of being able to give out hundreds or maybe even thousands of branded products with your name on them. Items such as bags or magnets are excellent examples of what you can give away by using this strategy. By putting them in a place where trade show attendees can easily grab them, youve secured yourself a hit. Have someone to be in charge of making sure theres an ample supply of trade show goodies always available at your booth. Bu giving away cheap bags you can have people walking around showing off your logo, while they put all the other goodies in it. Then we have the expensive trade show goodies. USB drives, polo shirts, calculators and agendas are some examples. Probably you wouldnt want to give these out in a massive fashion. Because of their higher costs, you should pay more attention on who receives them. Only give them out to leads who really show an authentic interest in your products and services. Appetite: A Better Option for a Healthy Well Being

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

By Farzina Naznin Appetite is related with hunger. It is in fact the desire or an urge to eat. All living creatures experience appetite. It serves as a procedure to regulate energy to maintain effective metabolic needs. Appetite is regulated by a close interplay and inter-relation between digestive tract, adipose tissue and the brain. Loss of appetite is termed as anorexia. The sensors and the effectors within the body play an important role in the regulation of appetite. The part of the brain which is considered to be the main regulatory organ for appetite is the hypothalamus. The sensors through its various numbers of hormones namely the leptin, ghrelin, orexin, etc modifies the hypothalamus responses of the brain and works as a machinery for the regulation of appetite. Furthermore, the biological clock which is also regulated by the hypothalamus modifies hunger. Further the cerebral cortex projects a lot on the hypothalamus and modifies appetite. Everyone desires for a well toned physique. But how to maintain it is the question which is in the mind of many. The basic solution to this is to control the appetite. But controlling appetite is not at all an easy procedure as while it may sound simple to control appetite but it is very difficult to actually get control of it. But there is nothing to worry about it as for now we have an easy solution to it and they are the diet control pills and also the fat diets on the basis of which it has become much easier to put a check on ones appetite. Diet control pills in this aspect like Phentermine, Adipex and Xenical works wonder as appetite suppressant. Moreover, Atkins Diet plan, the three phases South Beach Diet programme and the Sugar Busters nutritional lifestyle are some of the easy options of diet controls. Besides these, reducing hunger by way of drinking lots of water, adding fiber to our diet, stimulating natural sunlight to the skin and by avoiding carbohydrates to the diet are certain other options for diet control. Appetite suppressants are short term supplements for weight reducing processes which is advisable only during the first few weeks of the programme of losing weight. These supplements are found in the form of medicines which is advisable to be undertaken through doctors prescription. People suffering from allergies, people following low calorie diets, pregnant women, mothers nursing babies, children below 16 years of age, older adults and persons undertaking other medicines should consult doctors before undertaking such suppressants. What is a Grownup Relationship? Making Sense of Normal Relationship Development

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

By Heather Leavesley Romantic relationships, much like people, have a developmental lifecycle. We arent often aware of where our relationships are in terms of their developmental stages, but being aware can be extremely helpful in interpreting the shifts in dynamics that occur over time between us and our partner. In a sense its true that relationships have a life of their own. Each developmental stage in the relationship has its own set of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and developmental tasks. These relationship stages are analogous to childhood, adolescence, and adulthood in peoples developmental lifecycle. Youth The Honeymoon Stage The earliest, youngest stage of a relationship is an intensely romantic, passionate time. In this stage we feel so deeply connected that we become emotionally merged. During this stage, often called the honeymoon phase, we see our partners as being perfect and as completing us and saving us from experiencing old emotional wounds or pain. Likewise they believe that were perfect and complete them. What could feel better than being with someone who thinks were perfect in every way, especially if we havent received that kind of unconditional adoration at any other time in our lives!? John Gottman, researcher and therapist who has studied couples for over 20 years, has found that couples who stay in touch with how they felt about each other during this honeymoon phase weather the inevitable relational storms better than couples who lose touch with their experience of this time. I think of the developmental task of young, romantic love as cementing the relationship and establishing a foundation that will support the relationship across the years. Adolescence The Disillusionment Stage The second stage of relationships begins when we start to recognize that our partners are imperfect human beings and that they dont complete us or protect us from being emotionally hurt. In fact, they more often seem to target the very areas of emotional pain we expected them to save us from. At the same time they start to recognize that were not perfect and seem to be irritated or angry with us about that. The disillusionment of this stage can be very painful. It can be experienced as scary or as a betrayal or as a fall from grace. Often anger, bitterness, and resentment rule during this time. Couples can get stuck in this place or the relationship may not survive it at all. However, if you think of this stage as the adolescence for the relationship it can put the painful dynamics into perspective. Adolescence is a time to become a separate and independent individual. For a relationship to be strong, healthy, and functional it needs to be supportive of two separate, individuated people. When we give up significant parts of ourselves to the relationship, generally we suffer and as a result the relationship suffers. Thus, although becoming unmerged can feel excruciating at times, it is an important step in the evolution of the relationship. Adulthood The Fulfilling Stage The third stage or adulthood in a relationship provides a structure that supports and nourishes two differentiated people. This requires that we be committed to our own as well as our partners wholeness as individuals and that we be committed equally to the relationship. This stage can feel challenging around finding balance among the three entities two individuals and the relationship. It also requires a maturity around being able to own and manage our own emotional insecurities and reactivity. However, this phase is the most rewarding and is the time when we can be authentically connected while living with integrity to our true selves. How to Cope When Your Spouse is Depressed

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

By Nancy Wasson Living with a depressed spouse can be extremely stressful for the partner and other family members. Communication is impacted, the couples social life suffers, and feelings of satisfaction with the marriage decrease. Here are fifteen ways to cope and keep your sanity and bearings when your spouse is depressed: 1. Know what youre dealing with. Dont just guess and speculate that your spouse may be depressed. Encourage him or her to have a comprehensive assessment to determine if depression is actually present, what the severity is, and the recommended treatment plan. If medication is prescribed, know that your spouse will increase his (or her) chances for successful treatment if he also participates in weekly counseling sessions. 2. Educate yourself about depression. Schedule a time to meet with your spouses doctor or therapist to learn more about depression and how you can best be supportive of your mate. Read books, magazine articles, and information available on the Internet about depression. 3. Expand and strengthen your individual network of support from family and friends. Youre going to need on-going support and encouragement, so resist the urge to try to carry the burden of your mates depression silently on your shoulders by yourself. Let your family and friends know how they can help you and let them know what challenges you are facing. The worst thing you can do is to isolate yourself from others. 4. Research support groups that are available in your community and on-line. Some communities will offer in-person support groups for depressed individuals as well as for their spouses and friends. If no such groups exist where you live, check out the on-line support groups that are available for you and your depressed partner. One group, The Depression and Bi-Polar Support Alliance (DBSA), sponsors numerous in-person meetings and also provides an on-line support group for people with depression or bipolar disorder, as well as separate groups for friends and family members. You can check out their offerings at: http://www.dbsalliance.org/info/OnlineSupport.html You can also find information and resources at Emotions Anonymous: http://www.emotionsanonymous.org/ Your spouse can find on-line support through Depressed Anonymous: http://www.depressedanon.com/ 5. Educate your children about depression so that they can better understand your spouses behavior. Ask a librarian at your community library or your childrens school for help in selecting appropriate books on depression and chronic parent illness. If youre not sure what to tell them, consult with your childrens physician and enlist his or her help or arrange for your children to talk to a counselor who can help them process their feelings. 6. Take the team approach toward managing your mates depression and say, Were in this togetherwere a team! You want your spouse to feel the energy and power of team support. Think in terms of Well figure out what to do instead of You need to figure out what to do. 7. Learn to de-personalize your spouses behavior. Remind yourself that your mate is illand thats different from being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn or deliberately trying to make your life difficult. Try to remember that your mates perception, attitude, actions, patience, and stamina are being impacted in major ways by the depression. When people are depressed, they often blame everyone else for their problems and see only the negatives in daily life. This is about the depressionnot about you. 8. Work on developing more patience. Depression is trying for everyone closely associated with the depressed individual and can cause even normally sedate partners to become frustrated, agitated, and angry. It takes time for the treatment to be effective and for significant changes to be maintained. You can protest all you want, but youll just make yourself more miserable until you accept that Life is presenting you with an opportunity to develop patience. The sooner you master this lesson, the less youll suffer. 9. Encourage your spouse to get some exercise each day. You might take a walk together or go to the gym together. You could exercise to a video at home or put on some music and dance. Anything that gets your mate moving and encourages him (or her) to stay physically active will be helpful. 10. Dont try to talk your spouse out of his (or her) feelings. Trying to argue with him or convince him that hes wrong for feeling that way wont work. Youll just make him more resistant. When people are depressed, they often say irrational things, such as I cant ever do anything right or No one cares about me. Acknowledge your mates feelings and say something like, Im sorry youre feeling so bad. What might we do to help you feel better right now? 11. Take good care of yourself in every wayphysically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. You cant afford to lose yourself and become consumed by your mates depression. Its very challenging to be around negative, pessimistic, depressive energy without starting to feel the same way. The only antidote is to stay balanced and centered by practicing good self-care behavior and doing things to nurture yourself. Eat right, exercise, get enough sleep, stay in close contact with your friends, participate in activities that bring you pleasure, and keep your spiritual connection strong. Take time for yourself so that you can read, listen to music, meditate, and pray. 12. Laugh every day. Watch funny movies, share funny jokes, and look for the humor in the various situations in your life. Laughter can help you to feel better and keep the negative effects of depression at bay. Enlist the help of your friends to provide you with funny stories and jokes that come their way through email or office talk. Try to find things to share things about your day that will make your spouse laugh. But even if he (or she) doesnt laugh, youll feel better! 13. Read inspirational books or listen to inspirational audios or music that energizes and inspires you. Surround yourself with resourcesbooks, CDs, picturesthat make you feel better and feed yourself with inspiration and positive thinking and positive feelings every day. 14. Resist the urge to try to fix your spouses depression. Youll only frustrate yourself and your mate. Theres no one thing you can do to take the depression away by yourself and to make everything better. The fact that your spouse is depressed doesnt mean that you have failed in any way as a partner. Youre not responsible for the depression and you cant fix it. You can, however, be supportive and encouraging and follow the recommendations your mates doctor and/or therapist may make. 15. Get professional help for yourself if your feelings become overwhelming. Its normal to feel resentful and angry that your personal life and family life are being so radically impacted by your mates depression. You may feel that the person you once knew is now gone and that you dont know who this depressed person is anymore. You may feel discouraged and despondent if time goes by and things arent significantly better. Caregiving and being the main one to keep everything going can be exhausting and overwhelming. Dont wait until you feel that you cant continue any longer. Make an appointment for individual counseling before you hit the wall. In most cases, depression can be effectively treated80% of depressed patients improve with treatment. But the process of recovery can be lengthy, so its important to take steps to ensure that youll stay emotionally healthy while your spouse is recovering. Nancy J. Practical Wedding Favors

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

By Kathleen Terrana Two of the most popular personalized wedding favors have been matchbooks and napkins. They feature custom decorative designs such as twin hearts, wedding bells or rings. They display the first name of the bride and groom as well as the date of the ceremony. While personalized matchbooks were probably the original practical wedding favor, now there are many favors available that guests can enjoy long after the wedding day. Some popular and unique practical wedding favors available online include: scented candles, incense, handmade soap, miniature bottles of wine or spirits, herb plants, fortune cookies, lottery tickets, and refrigerator magnets. A few companies offer miniature jars of homemade jam and honey. And if the bride and groom can afford to spend up to $3.50 a piece for their favors, they can choose frosted glass coasters, leather heart luggage tags, compact Love Beyond Measure key chain and tape measure, assorted wine charms, chrome heart letter openers, and love corkscrew and bottle toppers. A new practical wedding favor that is available is mini salt and pepper shakers, symbolically representing the bride and groom. At http://www.yolandasweddingfavors.com, they carry an adorable Two Peas in a Pod green ceramic salt and pepper shaker set that comes packaged in a beautiful gift box. The size of the guest list and the wedding budget will determine how much the couple will spend on wedding favors. Wedding favors that require assembly will generally be less expensive. The bride and groom may decide to purchase a limited number of expensive favors to give as thank you gifts to guests that traveled a great distance to participate in the celebration. Total Body Detoxification Tips and Tricks You Can Do At Home

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

By Denice Moffat When your body is sick in any way the pH is disrupted. Your body does whatever it can to keep up with the extra acid produced. When it cant keep up, disease happens. Disease is a breakdown of your body’s cells optimal function. Disease happens through poor eating habits, overwork, stuffing your emotions, eating too many cooked foods, too much sugar, salt, caffeine, drugs, vaccines, tension, depression, lack of proper rest, lack of exercise, environmental contamination of the air/water/food and the retention of metabolic wastes (constipation). The only effective way to “cure” disease is to eliminate the causes. Can we stop disease or reverse agonizing symptoms? Yes. How? We have to clean up our lives with optimal nutrition, special diets, cleansing programs, specific vitamins and supplements, fresh extracted juices, herbs and other natural therapies which do not harm the body over time. We must change our living habits and the way we think. We need to find a balance between the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of our life. All cures come from within the central core of your body first, then it progresses outward and from the top of your body down to your feet and in reverse order in which the symptoms first occurred. So, how does one detoxify? It cant be done overnight. You took time to build those toxins up. If you go too fast, it will throw your body into a healing crisis which well tell you about at the end of this article. Plan for a four-month program. The body should be cleansed in this order: Bowels, liver, kidneys, blood and lymph. Bowel detoxificationStarting the process: Eat more fresh raw fruits and vegetables. The more varied the colors, the better and more balanced the cleanse will be. Some of my favorite fruits and vegetables to keep the body in tip-top shape include: Apples, carrots, watermelon, tayberries, raspberries, cherries, papaya, parsley, ginger, broccoli and zucchini. These provide fiber and fluid to get the bowels moving, improves oxygen utilization, helps to burn up waste products in the system, and stabilize blood pH making the body more alkaline. When the body is alkaline it has energy to fight off disease, so that it can detoxify and rebuild. Cut back on cheese, meat, poultry and refined foods. Eliminate packaged items. Eat more eggs. For chronic constipation problems, my favorite product is Natures Sunshine LBS II. It is non-addictive and can shift your bowel habits permanently with only a few months of adding it to your supplement program. Some people prefer to add in coffee enemas or colon hydrotherapy. This is good, but dont overdo the coffee enemas. Three per week should be the maximum amount for coffee enemas in the detoxification program. And if your issue is loose bowels, irritable bowel syndrome or Crohns disease, you may want to add in Bowel pathogen nosode drops for parasites and Large Intestine RET drops for emotions associated with imbalance of the bowels. Emotional RET Remedies: These wonderful homeopathic/flower essence combinations were developed by Professional Health Formulations to help with the emotional aspects of physical symptoms within the body. Seventy percent of all disease processes have some emotional component to them. So if you are doing all the right things and taking all the right drugs, supplements, and diet for something and it still isn’t working, these drops may be your ticket Note: Cooked, processed, or pasteurized fruits and vegetables are devoid of enzymes. Heat kills many vitamins and cooked fruits will make the body more acidic. Consuming three servings EACH of raw fruits, raw vegetables and cooked vegetables (thats nine servings total) is the minimum for optimal health, but you will want to take in five servings of each per day for a total of 15 servings servings/day on a detoxification program. Juicing is an easy way to get those servings in. Adding some raw beet juice and green bitter vegetables will stimulate the gall bladder to get things moving. You may also want to add in some liquid acidophilus if you have bowel issues, crave sugar, know you have yeast problems, or have had a history of taking antibiotics. Liquid vitamins and ionic mineral supplements are also helpful both in the detoxification and maintenance phases. Liver Detoxification: Once bowel movements are happening smoothly, its time to start detoxifying the liver. Increase green foods and include green drinks, beets, milk thistle and add any homeopathic detoxosode drops that are appropriate. My favorites are: Sick Building detox drops, Mercury and Amalgam, Degenerative Tissues, and Food Additive Detox Drops for eliminating Aspartame, caffeine, chocolate, food colorings, MSG, sulfites, and nitrites from your system. Intravenous chelation is the Cadillac treatment for getting rid of heavy metals from your system, but Ive found that carob powder will do quite well as well. Its cheap and available. The dose is Teaspoon once a day for 30 days. If you are struggling with allergies, anger, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, glaucoma or cancer, youll want to add in some Liver RET drops. Kidney Detoxification: Once youve completed the liver cleanse, the kidneys come next, so add in Cranberry Unsweetened Concentrate to your fruit and vegetable-rich diet. One teaspoon/day for six weeks. My favorite brands are Hains and Tree of Life. This product comes in 8-16 ounce bottles. Its not the juice or frozen concentrate you buy in the juice isle. Look for it in the nutritional supplements of your local health food store. Eat lots of ginger, parsley and watermelon. Kidney RET emotional remedy is added at this point if the person is experiencing nervousness, fear, anxiety, dread or worry in their personality traits. I add Myrrh Gum Powder in at this time as well to help with yeast and purification. Take up to four capsules/day for about nine weeks depending on the severity of yeast you may have in your system. Blood and Lymph Detoxification: This is the final step in the process and should occur at approximately month four of your detoxification process. Now add in some Poke Root Tincture at 12 drops/day to get the lymph moving. Signs of lymph and circulation stasis include fluid retention, fibrocystic breasts, elevated Prostate Specific Antigen and lymphatic cancers. Irish moss will help balance out the cellular salts, and keep eating that parsley. Add in teaspoon of blackstrap molasses a day for added minerals and iron. Also add in five tablets a day of American Health Papaya Enzymes to help disintegrate the remaining tar of fermented proteins built up in your intestines over the years. You should be feeling pretty good now, but adding in Spiritual RET drops helps to integrate the physical healing with the mental and spiritual healing. So, how do you know when you are detoxifying too quickly? Symptoms of a healing crisis can include: Fever, swollen limbs/face, headaches, mobilization of mucous, weakness, weight-loss, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and other digestive disorders, pains resurfacing, worsening of existing symptoms, rapid pulse, skin eruptions, and some say they feel like their world is “collapsing”. What is the difference between a healing crisis and illness? You know when you are having a healing crisis because: The crisis usually lasts only one to three days. At the end of the healing crisis you feel much better than before the healing crisis occurred. You are eating all the right things and up until the healing crisis have had a good attitude. You know you are making changes in your lifestyle and are working on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of your life. You are mentally prepared to get through the healing. You may have just pampered yourself with some kind of bodyworkthis sometimes stimulates a healing crisis. This is a good thing. If you are truly sick, the symptoms above feel awful as time progresses. The symptoms are more than transient and more than mild. Ways to work through a healing crisis: Drink lots of water, treat yourself to a massage or hot bath, do daily caster oil packs over your liver for 3-5 days, fast for a day or two, get a chiropractic adjustment, pray and do some attitudinal work and find a support team. Future of Marketing Part 2

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

By Michele Pariza Wacek In Part 1, I discussed how traditional marketing is no longer working the way it used to. This is happening for a variety of reasons — people have too many mass media choices, they’re bombarded with way too many marketing messages, the Internet is adding accountability to advertising, etc. So if traditional marketing is no longer effective, then how will you get the word out about your products or services? What Internet Marketer Seth Godin, author of the book Permission Marketing, calls permission marketing. Permission marketing is when your customers give you permission to market to them. This is opposite from traditional marketing, also known as interruption marketing (another term coined by Godin). Interruption marketing works by interrupting you. Nobody watches television for the commercials. Nobody flips through a magazine for the ads. But that’s how interruption marketing gets you to buy something. Permission marketing is completely different. With permission marketing, customers look forward to hearing from you. They LIKE receiving information about your products and services. That’s because theyve agreed to enter into a relationship with you. And if permission marketing is done correctly, you’ll eventually develop a stronger relationship with your customers than you ever would have with interruption marketing. (But that doesn’t mean interruption marketing doesn’t have its place. More on that later.) Permission marketing isn’t new. In fact, it’s older than interruption marketing. Back before there was mass media, business owners routinely developed long-term relationships with their customers. And customers expected to be involved with the selling process from the beginning. Now, of course, we no longer need to be dependent on building relationships face-to-face. With the Internet, we have a whole host of low-cost options available to us, which makes permission marketing easier now than it was before. Here’s how it works. You start by developing something that your customers find valuable enough to give you permission to contact them on a regular basis. E-newsletters or e-zines, which are e-mail newsletters, are popular and so are Web blogs. Web blogs are like online journals. For a fun sample, check out http://www.boingboing.net Or Seth Godin has his own blog — http://www.sethgodin.com But e-zines and Web blogs aren’t the only things of value people sign up for — you can offer them classes delivered via e-mail or tips or contests or points programs or special offers or whatever your creativity can come up with. While it is possible to develop a relationship with customers using only offline techniques (for instance, a printed newsletter you mail to your customers) it’s less expensive and more effective to use the Internet. It’s quick and easy for your customers to sign up via your Web site and it’s cheap for you to send it out via e-mail. However, in order to get people to sign up, you first need to tell them about it. That’s where interruption marketing comes in. You still need to get the word out about what you’re offering. Then once they sign up, you can start building the relationship. Is this a lot of work? Yes. Is it more work than interruption marketing? Yes again. But is it more effective than interruption marketing? It can be. Especially since interruption marketing isn’t working the way it used to. I feel that permission marketing favors small business owners. That’s because permission marketing only works when customers and businesses form a relationship, and customers prefer forming relationships with people rather than entities. Customers want to know the person behind the business, not just the business itself. But that doesn’t mean big corporations can’t employ permission marketing techniques. They just need to get creative about it. Perhaps developing a spokesperson or a business “personality” or a forum or group of people. The important thing is to start thinking about how marketing is changing and what you can do about it. How to Use Acupressure to Get Rid of Chronic Tension Headaches

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

By Paul Bacho If your headaches dont happen every day, or if your neck onlytightens up at work, you may get relief from a technique calledacupressure. Its sort of like acupuncture, but there are no needlesinvolved and you dont need to know specific anatomical points. What youre going to do is stimulate muscle trigger points. Atrigger point is an area where you have or have had pain. If youstimulate that area, youll cause more pain. Yes, I know that sounds counterproductive, but bear with me; itllmake sense to you shortly. First, you need to find a trigger point to stimulate. Thats easy.Take your hand and run it over the muscles in the back of your neckand down the base of your neck to your shoulders. Theyre probablytight, so you may have to push into the muscles a little bit. Besidesbeing sore and tight, youll feel little lumps or knots. If you pushthese knots…WOW! Sore, huh? That sore knot is a trigger point. Now comes the fun part. Using the tip of a finger - the one thatsgoing to reach the trigger point and provide you with the mostleverage - roll over the trigger point until you find the tip. Push yourfinger in as hard you can, right through to the trigger point.Yes, its going to hurt - in fact, its going to be extremely painful. Nevertheless, I want you to continue pushing until: you cant stand the pain, or you feel the trigger point pop, or dissolve (you wont actuallyhear it pop, but you will feel a little explosion in your muscle)How to Get Permanent Relief From Chronic Tension Headaches A tingling sensation may spread out from the trigger point. Thatsnormal. Once the pain subsides, your headache will most likelyeither significantly decrease in intensity or disappear. If you havemore than one knot, or trigger point (as is likely), youll need tostimulate each one. Sometimes, because of the position of the trigger points, you wontbe able to get a good angle on them with your finger. This willprevent you from being able to apply enough force to dissolve them.If that happens, you need to enlist the help of a good, trustworthyfriend, or your spouse/significant other. When using acupressure on yourself to dissolve trigger points, dontworry about hurting yourself or, if someones using acupressure onyou, someone hurting you. The worst thing that can happen is youwont be able to pop the trigger point. In that case, wait until thearea of the trigger point calms down, then repeat the procedure. While it doesnt work 100 percent of the time, Ive gotten greatresults most of the times that Ive used this technique on my patients. If you suffer from daily tension headaches and are starting to haveother, more serious symptoms - like tingling in your arms orweakness in your hands - acupressure isnt going to be very effectivebecause you have too much spasm over too wide an area.Fortunately, theres a second technique for permanently getting rid ofthese spasms. Paul Bacho is a certified athletic trainer in Cleveland, Ohio with over 28 years experiencetreating patients with chronic pain. He’s also co-author of “How to Get Permanent Relief From Chronic Tension Headaches,” a holistic program that he’s used to help hundreds of people get rid of tension headaches. By Eric Morris Its a dream many women to have a fuller and firmer breasts. For many women who are too self-conscious, the size of their breasts may cause them to think poorly of themselves. The attitude towards the breast enlargement is often dictated by fashion. There is no ideal breast size and the size and shape of the breasts vary from woman to woman. Rarely are both breasts symmetrical in women, and in most cases one of them may be larger or smaller or higher or lower than the other. The size, however, does not in any way inhibit the ability to feed or nurse a baby. Breast size is influenced by a number of factors such as the genetic composition, age, weight, the thickness and elasticity of the skin, the hormonal influences on the breasts, pregnancy, and breast-feeding. There are various techniques of breast enlargement, both surgical and non-surgical. The non-surgical methods range from breast enlargement creams, pills, and pumps to breast enhancement exercises and hypnosis. Surgical breast implants involves placing saline-filled implants either under the breast tissue or the chest muscle beneath the breasts. But as with every surgery, there are risks involved in breast implants. Many women choose alternative natural breast enlargement methods because of the side effects associated with surgical breast enlargement. Manufacturers of alternative breast enlargement products claim that they are a safe, inexpensive, and painless way of achieving fuller and shapelier breasts. These products, the manufacturers claim, increases breast size by stimulating the growth of breast tissue. There are instances of women who have experienced positive results by the use of alternative methods, but the results are more pronounced only in a small segment of products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Better Business Bureau confirm that no breast enlargement method or product other than surgery has ever been proven to actually work. The appropriate breast enlargement method should be chosen after consultation with a doctor and only after a careful consideration of all the risk factors involved. It is important to realize that attractiveness is never as important and priceless as life itself. Cheese Serving Guide

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

By Shauna Hanus Cheeses come in a wide variety of flavors, textures, and types. Gone are the days of un-wrapping a slice of American cheese placing it on white bread and calling it a meal. Todays specialty markets make it easy to serve gourmet cheeses as an appetizer, desert, or as a simple course in a larger meal. When serving cheese never serve more than 5 varieties at a time. Vary the size, shape, flavor and texture of the choices to add interest to the selection. The tray you serve on should be a wooden board or marble slab. A silver tray with a wood insert can add elegance and glamour for a special touch. The tray should never be crowded, and any bread or fancy crackers should be served separately. Separate utensils and trays should be used if the cheeses have strong or distinctive flavors. Mild varieties will pick up the flavors and aromas of stronger cheese. Coupling the cheese with fresh fruit or thin sliced onions gives added interest and texture and makes for an appetizing arrangement. Always remember to slice all the accompaniments in bite size pieces. Cheeses can be served as a very elegant desert a light course after the entre or as an appetizer. When using cheese as an appetizer, choose a light meal because cheese can be filling. The temperature of your cheese will make a difference in how it taste. When served at room temperature cheese displays more of its natural flavors and characteristics. By leaving the cheese out for 30 minutes before serving the cheese will reach its optimum temperature. Just remember during warm months to keep watch so that the cheese does not get too warm and begin to sweat. Shauna Hanus is a gourmet cook who specializes in creating gourmet meal plans.
